Approach

As an Occupational Therapist, I support individuals with Autism by focusing on their unique strengths, sensory needs, and daily routines to help them participate more comfortably and confidently in everyday life.

My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, which means I celebrate differences in thinking, communication, and behaviour — and I don’t aim to "fix" people, but rather to support their goals and reduce barriers.

My appointments are completed in the client's own home. I find this is preferred and we are able to establish rapport quickly.

Most importantly, I always take the time to get to know the person — what’s important to them, not just for them — and tailor everything to suit their needs and preferences.

My work is niche - I only complete specialist assessments (FCA, SIL/SDA) and gathering information and writing reports that acknowledge the strengths but also high light the need for supports allows my clients to obtain adequate funding for all the necessary supports that are required to allow them to achieve their NDIS goals.
