Asperger’s Victoria is a not-for-profit, peer-led organisation dedicated to empowering autistic individuals of all ages, as well as their families and supporters. Our mission is to create an inclusive, understanding, and affirming community where autistic people can connect, thrive, and be themselves without judgment or pressure to “mask” or change who they are.
We recognise autism as a natural variation in human neurodiversity, not a deficit. Our services are designed to be neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and respectful of individual differences and sensory needs. We reject “cure” or compliance-based models and instead focus on building understanding, self-advocacy, and authentic connections.
We offer a wide range of services, including peer support groups tailored to specific age ranges and identities (e.g. teens, young adults, women and non-binary people, parents/carers), social events that provide safe spaces for connection, and skills workshops on topics like self-advocacy and employment. Our mentoring programs match autistic individuals with trained autistic coaches, offering lived-experience guidance and reducing social isolation.
Asperger’s Victoria also works with schools, employers, and service providers to promote inclusive practices and greater acceptance of neurodivergent people. By centering autistic voices in our planning, leadership, and delivery, we ensure our services truly reflect and support the needs of the community we serve. Whether you’re seeking connection, guidance, or simply a place to belong, Asperger’s Victoria is here to walk beside you on your journey.
