10 months agoI can't recommend Peppermint Place enough! 🌟 As a mum to a child with severe intellectual disability and challenging behaviours, finding holiday care felt impossible. Regular programs just can't cope with kids like my son. Ana at Peppermint Place wasn't phased by his Positive Behaviour Plan - instead, she got curious about how to best support him. She limits numbers based on individual needs and truly caters to complex children. The team made his food exactly how he likes it, supported him through meltdowns beautifully, and showed genuine care in every interaction. Even when we had to cancel due to his resistance to getting out of the car (for anything atm), Ana was completely understanding. Finally, a place that sees our kids for who they are, not their challenges. We need more places like Peppermint Place! 💚 #SpecialNeeds #NDIS #PeppermintPlace #DisabilitySupport #Brisbane

1 year agoWe love Peppermint Place! My daughter attends the holiday program and she is always happy to run through the gate. I've found the staff to be approachable and caring and the environment is very calm and relaxed. Thanks for having us Peppermint Place!

1 year agoWhen my daughter was about to graduate special school not very long ago, I looked at so many post-school options. However, none of them seemed to understand the very complex communication and sensory needs of my girl. The programmes available were very institutionalised, the participants seemed much older and no one was interested in allowing a gradual transition for my daughter. Peppermint Place was a breath of fresh air. Being a very experienced special school teacher, Ana recognised the need for personalised and flexible programmes for her PP participants, in a safe and joyful environment, and embracing individual communication needs and AAC devices. PP staff are knowledgeable and compassionate, and work closely with families to achieve successful outcomes for our loved ones living with disability. The day she was welcomed by Ana's smiling face, my daughter never looked back, evidently feeling welcomed and supported every day.
