Strength Potential is a dedicated Queensland-based charity focused on empowering young people (aged 10-25) to uncover their unique strengths, set and achieve meaningful goals, and create a lasting impact in their communities.

We offer a variety of services, including One-on-One Mentoring, Group Programs, and Free Mental Health Resources. Another key feature of our support resources is MiiND, our innovative online platform (miind.org.au), designed to provide accessible mental health tools and resources to help young people thrive.

At Strength Potential, we firmly believe that every young person possesses inherent strengths waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Our mission is to help these strengths not only be recognised but also come to life, enabling young individuals to unlock their full potential. When young people understand their strengths and learn how to apply them, they experience a profound sense of confidence and well-being. This sense of empowerment equips them to tackle challenges, achieve their personal goals, and ultimately navigate life with resilience and purpose.

Through our programs and resources, we aim to create a supportive environment where young people feel valued, encouraged, and inspired to make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others.

Approach

At Strength Potential, we don’t just accept neurodiversity - we celebrate it.

We believe that conditions like Autism and ADHD come with unique strengths and insights. Our focus is on helping young neurodiverse people recognise their value, connect with the right community, and grow the confidence and skills to thrive in everyday life.

Whether it’s at home, in school, or out in the world, we empower each young person to take ownership of their potential and step into environments where they’re understood, supported and able to make a positive difference.

Travis was amazing as he never gave up looking for the perfect mentor to bring out the best in our son. Certainly worth the wait! Travis found Stefan! Stefan’s enthusiasm, positivity, never ending smile and happy disposition immediately made us feel like he was one of the family. Our son liked Stefan straight away. Over the last months, they have created a strong bond and a great friendship. Stefan has taught our son so many life skills already, doing it all through fun. Stefan has built confidence and communication skills, bringing out a great sense of humour. We have never seen our son so happy and laugh so much. Thank you so much Stefan! I am the biggest Advocate of Strength Potential as they obviously care enough to employ only the Best! Thank you so much for giving our son and us this wonderful opportunity to help him grow into a responsible and caring young man to prepare him for the outside world. 100/10!!

My brother and I were with a Strength Potential mentor for around 3 years, as well as personally using a member of their counselling team for several months. Over that amount of time, Strength Potential and it’s team members became an irreplaceable part of my life, with an impact that will last me forever. I now have deeply treasured memories spent with the three individuals I was under the care of in our sessions. I would be a different person if I had never known such a wonderful company of people. Thanks guys

Strength Potential has been supporting my Autistic Son for the last six months. We have used other support workers in the past but the outcomes that support his plan, helping build his capabilities has been phenomenal. Matt is so incredibly patient but at the same time he challenges my son to step out of his comfort zone. I have been blown away with the professionalism by providing comprehensive reports on supports sessions. Overall I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

My son has been supported by 2 fabulous mentors from strength potential (Matt and Liam). They not only provided him general support but mentor him to work towards his NDIS and personal goals. Their manner is both professional but personal and friendly. Highly recommend!

Couldn't be happier with my sons support worker. My son is diagnoised ASD and ADHD combined and his support worker is fabulous with him working with his interests and in line with agreed goals.
