Christine Davies provides strengths-based, person-centered, and holistic care for neurodivergent adults.

Christine is an AuDHD lived-experience practitioner, who understands the varying presentations of neurodivergence. She works with an understanding of the Social Model of Disability, and supports clients to deepen their self-understanding, release neuro-typical demands where possible, and build supportive workplaces, home and social environments so that they can thrive. Adjusting after a late diagnosis for internalised-presenting Autism and ADHD is a particular area of interest.

Join Christine in the calming, quiet office space in Noosa Heads, overlooking a park and Noosa River with low lighting options, and low-VOC paint + cleaning products used to reduce sensory input. You can also join an online session, or opt for a nature-based session to include movement and reduce the face-to-face talking – your sessions can be tailored to your individual needs. Christine also offers EMDR to address somatic (body-based) symptoms of anxiety and trauma – a common co-occurrence of neurodivergence.

Christine is a Masters-qualified, PACFA & ACA registered Psychotherapist, accepting private clients and self or plan-managed NDIS clients.

Rebates: Health Insurance rebates are available for BUPA members.

⚧️ Christine Davies is a queer-friendly practice and part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Relevant Training/Certification: EMDR Therapy

Approach to supporting autistic individuals

Christine approaches Autism from the Social Model of Disability with the understanding that all neurotypes are valid and contribute in meaningful ways to our community. Importance is placed on helping clients understand where social expectations have prioritised neurotypical needs leading to harm, and how to understand their unique strengths, needs, and preferences to build a life that supports their neurotype and where they can thrive.

In session, clients have have flexibility to adjust lighting, move their body in ways that feel natural for them (including having nature based sessions where there is more movement and less face-to-face/eye contact/taking), and all clients are requested to not wear perfume to assist in keeping the office odor neutral. Clients have an opportunity on their intake form to specifically request any neuro-accessibility accommodations to make their sessions as comfortable as possible.

An emphasis is placed on helping clients learn to ‘unmask’, express themselves authentically in session, and finding out who they are and how to build a life where they thrive.

Christine is AuDHD, completes neuro-affirming trainIng and PDs, and regularly interacts with and listens to ND experiences from around the world to inform her practice on how to keep improving and supporting ND clients in the best way possible.

After searching around for a therapist who would help me feel heard and not judged, I decided to give Woven Holistic Counselling a go - and I'm so glad that I did. Christine provides a warm, safe environment and is so supportive, unprejudiced and compassionate. It's obvious that she genuinely cares about the well-being of her clients. She is flexible in her treatment style and our sessions are always led by what I feel comfortable with talking about, and at my pace. Whether you are looking for help during a difficult phase or want someone to guide you through to your self improvement goals - I would encourage you to just give Christine a call and see if you are the right fit for each other. I can't recommend Woven enough! 💯
