Welcome!

I’m Dani, a Mental Health Counsellor based in Melbourne (VIC) and online Australia-wide. I provide neurodivergent-led, trauma-informed counselling, supporting autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adolescents and adults. My approach is inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, and collaborative, creating a space to honour your natural rhythms and explore what matters most to you.

As a late-identified autistic and ADHD adult, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to therapy. Sessions are flexible and client-led, designed to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you. Counselling services include standard 50-minute sessions, with options for shorter check-ins and extended sessions.

Together we can:

  • Identify and celebrate your strengths
  • Connect with your identity
  • Process late-identification of neurodivergence (formally or self-identified)
  • Build confidence, self-worth, and self-advocacy
  • Support burnout prevention and recovery, and energy management
  • Manage anxiety, overwhelm, and support emotional regulation
  • Navigate social, relationship, and workplace challenges
  • Identify sensory and environmental supports
  • Plan and navigate life transitions and changes
  • Support routines and executive functioning

Qualifications:

  • Master of Counselling
  • Bachelor of Psychological Sciences
  • Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies (current student)

Other Training/Certification of note:

  • Person-Centred Therapy (PCT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Approach

Autism is a natural and valuable way of experiencing the world. My counselling is neurodivergent-led and neurodiversity-affirming, celebrating difference, building on strengths, and centring autistic voices and wellbeing. Each person’s needs and preferences are supported, with strategies that work with their brain, not against it.

Sessions are flexible and collaborative, with choice around structure, language, and pace. Optional pre-session forms, session summaries, and camera-on or camera-off options are available. Autistic traits and experiences are validated, welcomed and celebrated.

Movement, stimming, info-dumping, and pauses are all supported, alongside sensory accommodations such as fidgets, weighted items, and adjustments to lighting or sound. Individual needs, preferences and accomodations are always heard and supported.
