Our Equine Assisted and Nature Based Occupational Therapy sessions are offered in a natural setting with horses for on-ground activities.
Horses mirror human emotion, and offer us the opportunity to identify how we are feeling, be present, self-regulate, co-regulate, work as a team, build persistence, build self-esteem and confidence.
Horses bring a sense of calmness, wellbeing, joy and increase quality of life.
Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy facilitates client goals and involves experiential learning through working on the ground with horses. Goals can include: cognition, gross and fine motor skills, social skills, emotional regulation skills, self- care skills, and mental health.
