Rachel Few – Neurodivergent Counselling & Mentoring

Woombye | Online

ABN/ACN:

Rachel is a proud AuDHD woman & mother based on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland). Rachel began in private practice in 2008 when her practice grew rapidly with an increasing number of children & families with varied abilities accessing her gentle guidance and support.

Rachel has always had a passion for working with clients with diverse brains, bodies and nervous systems and has been drawn to working with neurodivergent people since the beginning.

Rachel also worked in Wellbeing coordinator and counselling roles within schools before she completed a Graduate Diploma in Education. This inside-out understanding is the result of having experience as both a parent and teacher/School Counsellor to understand being on both sides of the education system.

Rachel now provides support for women and mothers who have neurodivergent children and/or are neurodivergent themselves. Rachel’s approach is holistic, client-centered, neuroaffirming and works both with the nervous system as well as the brain.

For many mothers they are often learning about their own Neurodivergent brains alongside learning about their children and or partners. It can be a time of mixed emotions as all of the yarn is unraveled, a time to seek support, you don’t have to do it alone!

Rachel’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor Of Social Work and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Further studies in Equine Assisted Therapy, Postpartum support, Nervous System and continuing professional development; particularly in the field of neurodivergence.

Rachel is located in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and offers both in-person and online telehealth sessions. Free 15 minute connection calls are a great way to chat with Rachel and learn more about how she can support you and your family. Choosing the right mentor/counsellor for you is a vital step in your growth and success!

Approach to supporting autistic individuals:

What being neuroaffirming means in our space-
✔️ A calm, low-sensory environment- quiet, close to nature, with natural light and fresh air
✔️ Freedom from expectations like eye contact- you choose what feels right
✔️ Comfort options- fidgets, cushions, and different ways to sit or settle in
✔️ Movement welcomed- stretch, shift, or move if your body needs it
✔️ Space for realness- your authenticity is always encouraged
✔️ No pressure for small talk- we gently begin with what matters to you
