Sensory Grove is an inclusive space for children aged 0–12 to explore and thrive through sensory experiences. Our sessions are thoughtfully designed to engage each child’s curiosity and imagination, supporting social, emotional, and cognitive development. With experiences tailored for all children, including neurodiverse learners, Sensory Grove nurtures confidence, problem-solving, and joy through hands-on learning. We also offer private support sessions and provide a welcoming space for families and therapists to use for individual therapy sessions.
About Gemma
I am originally from Scotland and have called Australia home for almost seven years. I recently moved to Brisbane to bring my vision of a sensory play–based setting to life – a place where children and adults can thrive, reach their full potential, and have fun along the way.
I am a Developmental Educator with a Masters in Autism, a Bachelors in Childhood Studies and over 12 years of experience supporting children and adults with a variety of developmental needs across educational and residential settings. I am also an experienced Childcare Centre Manager with extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework. Additionally, I am a recognised Autism Trainer, guiding other professionals to grow in their practice.
I am deeply committed to inclusive, high-quality care and support that promotes equality—and most importantly, brings a sense of joy! My philosophy values the importance of creating supportive environments that nurture social and emotional skills, which provide the foundation for all other areas of development.
At Sensory Grove, we offer small, supportive group sessions designed to inspire growth, confidence, and connection. It is also an opportunity for families, support workers and the wider community to connect and share experiences in a welcoming environment.
I’d love for you to join us—book a session today or get in touch to learn more.

in the last weekMy 4 year old son and I really enjoyed our session with Gemma. I loved that it was so calm and relaxed and I had the chance to simply watch and enjoy seeing my son learn and explore. Gemma is kind, gentle and clearly very experienced. She had lots of different options for us to explore and was super flexible and responsive to us individually. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.

4 weeks agoGemma is a delightful young lady with a drive to create a safe sensory space. Today we took 2 clients there and had a blast with water balloons and other sensory activities. Gemma was kind and responsive to their needs. Thank you for the engagement.
