Our Social Butterfly Club is the perfect program for kids aged 6–12: a Social Confidence and Skills building program facilitated by our Play Therapist, Counsellor & Educational Therapist (Lauren) and supported by our enthusiastic assistant facilitators (Marianne & Maya).

Your child will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow in a fun, safe environment, and enjoy a range of activities, including:

  • Arts & Crafts for creativity & self-expression 🎨
  • Lego Master Therapy to encourage teamwork, communication & problem-solving 🧩
  • Board Games to build social skills & decision-making 🃏

We aim to support the development of a range of interpersonal skills relating to building and sustaining friendships, such as:

  • Managing conflict
  • Communicating effectively
  • Problem-solving
  • Requesting help
  • Communicating boundaries and limits
  • Understanding the perspective of others
  • Turn-taking
  • Leadership
  • Self-advocacy
  • Managing changes in social situations


Who is it for?
Children between 6-12 who experience challenges in feeling confident in social situations. We offer a strengths based and neuro-affirming environment; we support self-advocacy, communication and personal identity.


How are the sessions structured?
Each session has a balance of structured and unstructured play with a focus on prosocial skills development:

  • Welcome and Connect
  • Structured Play/Activities
  • Unstructured/Free play
  • Session Reflections/Close
