Autistic Led Connection, Community, and Support

Spectrum Social Squad is a proudly Autistic led organisation creating safe, inclusive spaces where Autistic adults can connect, socialise, and thrive without needing to mask or explain themselves.

Founded by Autistic individuals who understand the unique strengths and challenges of the community, we offer peer designed group events and social opportunities tailored to support meaningful connection, personal agency, and well-being.

Our programs are built on lived experience, not outdated stereotypes. We actively reject deficit-based models and instead embrace the diversity of Autistic minds, bodies, and communication styles. Every event is created with a trauma informed, sensory aware, and neurodivergent-friendly approach.

What We Offer

  • Monthly Social Catch Ups
  • Casual in person meetups for Autistic adults to relax, chat, and connect in a supportive environment
  • Board Game Sessions
  • Structured social play that encourages teamwork, communication, and fun. Ideal for people who prefer shared focus over small talk
  • Conversation Tools and Supports
  • Visual prompts, topic guides, and flexible participation options help reduce anxiety and support all communication styles.
  • Peer Led Facilitation
  • All sessions are planned and hosted by Autistic adults who understand and respect lived experience
  • Low Pressure Participation
  • No icebreakers, forced sharing, or spotlight moments just genuine opportunities for connection, at your own pace.

Our Approach

  • Autistic Led by Design
We believe Autistic people are the experts in our own lives. We prioritise leadership by Autistic adults and value lived experience as core expertise.
  • Trauma Informed and Consent Based
We build psychological safety into every session, offering choice, flexibility, and full respect for personal boundaries.
  • Community Focused
Our events strengthen community ties and reduce isolation by creating spaces where Autistic adults can show up exactly as they are.

Who We Support

  • Late-diagnosed or self-identified Autistic adults
  • Autistic people seeking friendship and shared understanding
  • Those navigating burnout, masking, or social fatigue
  • Individuals looking for support that isn’t clinical or compliance-based
