SPOTon! Kids’ Allied Health and Wellness Centre

ABN/ACN:

We are a fun loving, caring and dedicated team of Paediatric Allied Health Professionals, located North of Brisbane. We believe that every little one, with the right supports and encouragement, can strengthen their development to facilitate success and achieve potential. Although therapy is always individualized and will be different for each little one, there are consistencies. We work face-to-face completing formal and informal assessments, goal setting, providing feedback, preparing reports and documents, liaising with relevant parties, trialling and prescribing equipment and preparing and sharing resources. We love our job and all it entails. We are passionate about holistic and evidence based management and are committed to achieving positive outcomes for the little ones and families that we support.

Approach to supporting autistic individuals:

Our services are grounded in a neurodiversity affirming approach that recognises autism as a natural variation in human development. We focus on supporting each child’s strengths, individuality, and wellbeing rather than attempting to change who they are.

In practice, we provide highly individualised therapy tailored to each child’s unique profile, interests, sensory needs, and developmental goals. Our paediatric allied health professionals work face-to-face with children and their families to complete formal and informal assessments, collaboratively set meaningful goals, and provide ongoing feedback and support.

We take a holistic approach, working closely with families and other professionals involved in the child’s care to ensure supports are consistent across environments such as home, school, and the community. Therapy may include building functional skills, supporting communication and participation, trialling and prescribing appropriate equipment, and providing practical resources that help children engage more comfortably and confidently in everyday activities.

Our team prioritises respectful, strengths-based interactions, creating a fun, supportive, and safe environment where children feel valued and understood. We are committed to evidence-based practice and continuously adapt our strategies to support positive outcomes that enhance participation, independence, and quality of life for the children and families we support.
