Supportable Care Services is a small, dedicated service provider based in Moreton Bay, specialising in working with neurodivergent individuals of all ages.

Founded by Steffi, a mother of a neurodivergent son, Supportable was born out of firsthand experience with the challenges of finding the right support. We understand the importance of trust, consistency, and genuine care in disability support.

We offer lower rates and prioritise one main support worker to help build strong, meaningful relationships with our clients. A back-up worker can be provided if desired, ensuring flexibility while maintaining continuity of care.

At Supportable Care Services, we focus on providing personalised, compassionate support that truly makes a difference.

Approach

At Supportable Care Services, we understand autism as a natural part of human diversity. We view each autistic individual as unique, with their own strengths, preferences, and ways of experiencing the world. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, we don’t aim to “fix” or change people, but instead provide support that respects and celebrates their identity.

In practical terms, this means our support workers take time to learn each person’s communication style, interests, and sensory needs. We use flexible routines, clear communication, and choice-making opportunities so clients can be involved in decisions about their own support. Environments are adapted to reduce sensory overwhelm wherever possible, and we encourage the use of aids such as headphones, weighted blankets, or quiet spaces when needed.

We also place strong importance on authentic self-expression. Whether it’s through special interests, routines, or personal identity, we support autistic individuals to be themselves without judgement. Our team actively listens, adapts strategies based on feedback, and provides support that builds confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
