Understanding Zoe is an Australian social enterprise created by parents, for parents. When our daughter Zoe was assessed as autistic, we walked out of her assessment feeling overwhelmed and isolated. Like so many families, we were handed a long report but very little guidance on what to do next. That personal experience inspired us to build the kind of support we wished we had : a warm, practical, and neuroaffirming companion for families navigating similar journeys.
Today, Understanding Zoe is an AI-powered, ISO-certified platform that brings the whole “care village” together : parents, teachers, therapists, and extended family. At its heart is Pip, your personalised digital coach, trained on trusted expertise and lived experience. Pip offers clear, plain-language strategies for everyday challenges, from meltdowns to school transitions, as well as celebrating your child’s strengths and progress.
Families can upload reports, log daily observations, and invite others into a secure space so everyone stays connected and informed. Teachers gain practical classroom strategies, therapists see consistent updates between sessions, and parents feel less alone with guidance available on-demand.
What makes us different is our neuroaffirming philosophy. We don’t see autism or ADHD as something to “fix”. We celebrate neurodivergent ways of thinking, being, and learning; helping every child be understood, supported, and able to thrive. At just $10 per month, Understanding Zoe is designed to be affordable, inclusive, and accessible.
Whether you are new to a diagnosis or years into the journey, we are here to lighten the load, build confidence, and make sure no parent has to figure this out alone.
