At With Grace Therapy, we provide compassionate, evidence-based and trauma informed support tailored to each individual’s and families needs. Our team of experienced therapists are experienced in the areas of mental health, neurodivergence, eating disorders, disability and veterans. We offer our services of counselling, dietetics, psychology and social work for children, families, and adults. With Grace Therapy offers two clinic spaces in Kedron, Brisbane and Caloundra, Sunshine Coast in addition to online and some outreach support.

We are committed to a neuro-affirming, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed approach, ensuring that all individuals feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that respects their unique identities and experiences. We work collaboratively to create safe and inclusive spaces where clients can explore challenges, celebrate strengths and develop strategies that align with values and goals.

Our practice is built on respect, empowerment, and genuine connection. Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself, support for a loved one, we are here to walk alongside you with care.

Approach

At With Grace Therapy, we adopt a neurodivergent-affirming framework that recognises the unique strengths, perspectives, and needs of autistic individuals, their families and supports. We do not view autism through a deficit-based or medicalised lens and reject the idea of “fixing” autistic traits, and instead focus on fostering environments where autistic people can thrive on their own terms. Our team is trained in trauma informed, strengths based, and identity affirming approaches that support autistic clients across the lifespan, including late diagnosed individuals, those with co-occurring conditions, and those navigating systemic barriers.

We provide affirming care by:

- Respecting autonomy and communication preferences
- Adapting sessions and goals to suit the individual
- Providing choice and predictability where possible
- Using inclusive and affirming language
- Collaborating with clients and understanding their unique needs
- Investing in staff training

We celebrate and affirm our clients’ authentic identities by:

- Creating spaces where stimming, fidgeting, and identity expression are welcomed and never pathologized.
- Encouraging identity exploration, including for those who are late-diagnosed, or exploring gender, cultural, or sensory identity intersections.
- Individualising sensory accommodations
- Promoting client-led goals and feedback

Our goal is to ensure every autistic person we support feels seen, heard, and safe to show up as themselves not just in the therapy room, but in their wider world.
