About this group: “Our support group is for families of Autistic children AND Autistic adults living in Caboolture, Redcliffe and Pine Rivers. Our group consists of parents who are following treatment paths that includes traditional therapies such as: occupational therapy; speech therapy; psychology/psychiatric help, medication, those who are following diet management plans, those that are embracing holistic therapies and those who are combining all of the above, however you are parenting your special child, you are welcome here.”
Reframing Autism
Reframing Autism is an Australian Autistic-led charity, reframing the understanding of Autism through education, resources and research. Their website contains a treasure trove of helpful resources, including courses, webinars, podcasts, research and even a Welcome Pack dedicated to supporting newly-diagnosed autistic individuals.
THEIR MISSION: “To transform the lives of Autistic people and those who care about them through resources, research and education. We want to change the frame through which society views Autism, so that Autistic people can flourish – authentically – to achieve genuine acceptance, inclusion and active citizenship.”
