This FREE tool lets you input your total Improved Daily Living funding to see what’s available in each funding period – making budgeting, service agreements, and communication with therapy providers so much easier!

As of 19/05/2025, all new NDIS plans will include funding periods, which is where the participant will not be able to access their whole budget at the beginning of the NDIS plan. They will instead be able to access chunks of their funding in different “funding periods” throughout their plan (typically 4 x 3-month periods).

This means that NDIS participants will need to be more concise with their budgeting of services across their NDIS plans, as you cannot draw from a future funding period if funds in the current period are exhausted. This may result in the participant being personally liable for any unpaid invoices.

We have developed a spreadsheet to assist with calculating the therapy services available in each funding period for Capacity Building: Improved Daily Living funds. The spreadsheet allows the user to input the allocated funding for each funding period, input IDL services in each funding period, and see any leftover/transferred funds to future periods.
