SPOTon! Therapy’s Prep Readiness Group is designed for children starting school in 2027 and focuses on building the social, language, and early literacy skills they’ll need for a confident start. Led by a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, the group uses evidence-based approaches to make learning fun, interactive, and engaging.
The group aims to help children:
- Listen and attend in a group environment
- Build and use new vocabulary
- Understand and tell stories
- Develop rhyme, syllable, and sound awareness
- Participate in group activities and turn-taking
- Gain confidence with classroom-like routines
Highlights:
Take home resources – Families will receive parent tips, strategies and accompanying resources to use to help reinforce skills developed in sessions.
Supportive and engaging – Each session follows the same supportive structure for security and routine, but features a new theme each time to keep learning fresh, exciting, and motivating.
Food Provided – We provide a relaxed ‘lunchbox style’ lunch to help practice opening packets and removing lids independently like at school.
This Group will be run:
- Starting Tuesday 21st of July 11:30 – 1:30pm (Weekly sessions)
- EOI – Saturday 25th of July TBC based on interest
