Our Stafford Youth Peer Group is designed to empower young Autistic people aged from 12 to 16 years, as they navigate high school and the teenage experience.

Peer Groups are safe, inclusive spaces that foster a sense of trust, belonging and community, to empower Autistic people to express themselves authentically, develop social connections, and feel valued for who they are. Each group is supported by experienced volunteer facilitators, trained in autism-affirming practices – many of whom are Autistic or neurodivergent themselves.

Youth Peer Group meetings often include optional activities to support connection between participants. These activities are based on the unique interests of each group and may include activities such as trivia, board games, Dungeons & Dragons, or comic creation, as well as one community outing per school term.

During meetings, parents and carers of participants are invited to stay next door for our Stafford Parents Group, to connect with others, share experiences and support one another, while still remaining responsible for your child.
