Our Cannon Hill Young Adults Peer Group is designed to empower young Autistic people aged from 17 to 25, as they transition into adulthood and navigate the world.
Peer Groups are safe, inclusive spaces that empower Autistic people to express themselves authentically, develop social connections, and feel valued for who they are. Each group is supported by experienced volunteer facilitators, trained in autism-affirming practices – many of whom are Autistic or neurodivergent themselves.
While each group is structured uniquely to match the needs and interests of its participants, meetings typically include optional activities such as crafts, board games and trivia that support young people to share stories, talk through challenges and connect with one another.
