I offer a mobile Occupational Therapy service to children, teens, young adults, and their families. My practice focuses on neurodiversity, providing tailored therapy to support individuals with diverse neurological needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and more.

I am passionate about embracing the strengths and unique qualities of neurodiverse individuals while helping them develop the skills needed to thrive in daily life. My approach emphasises building self-advocacy, independence in all areas of life, and emotional regulation, all while promoting a positive sense of identity and inclusion.

In addition to hands-on therapy, I am able to provide comprehensive reports that may be needed for receiving a formal diagnosis or for NDIS purposes, such as a functional capacity assessment.

I am eager to serve this community and work with families and professionals who value a neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy. I currently have immediate availability.

Approach

At BourneToBeMe.OT we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for autistic individuals by actively embracing neurodiversity and striving to create spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

Our approach to therapy is neuro-affirming, meaning we do not view out role as one of fixing or curing. Instead, we focus on supporting individuals in becoming their most authentic selves. We work collaboratively, using each person’s unique strengths and interests to navigate and address life’s challenges in ways that are meaningful and sustainable for them. We always like to make this clear at the start as we do not believe in fixing neurodiverse individuals as we believe that although there are challenges ( which we strive to reduce) there is also beauty. In practice, our services are designed with flexibility, predictability, and accessibility in mind. We encourage individuals to express their identities without any pressure to "mask". We welcome stim tools, preferred clothing, individualized communication methods, and other self-regulation supports.
